If the memory card you insert already contains a file with a larger num-
ber, a new file will be assigned a number one higher than that of the last
file on the memory card.
We recommend using the [_!_ Continuous] setting.
Folder names, on the other hand, appear in a format such as
"101 0501 ". The first three digits indicate the folder number and the last
four digits indicate the month and day (May 1, for the example folder
above). In the same example, a recording with a file number of
"101-0107" is saved in the folder DCIM\101 0501 with a file name of
"MVL0107.MP4" (for MP4 movies) or "IMG 0107.JPG" (for photos).
Folders can contain up to 500 files (MP4 movies and photos combined)
and a new folder is created every time a folder exceeds this number.
The first three digits of the file number range from 100 to 999 and the
last four digits range from 0001 to 9900. File numbers are automatically
assigned consecutive numbers.
