[NTSC] /PAL
REC PAUSE: Pauses
recording.
[REC STOP]: Stops recording.
NEXT/PREV: Performs the

.PREV/UP buttons of the
unit when receiving the FF or
PREV command.
[FF/REW]: Jumps to the top of
the disc when receiving the FF
command or REW command.

[ON]: Marks a index.
OFF: Does not mark a index.
Note
The setting of the PRE REC
sub menu (see page 53) of the
SETUP MENU is
compulsorily set to "OFF,"
when RECPAUSE INDEX is
set to "OFF."
REMAIN: Displays the
remaining capacity of the disc.
[COUNTER]: Displays the
elapsed time of recording.
[DVO]: Select this when the
unit is connected to video
equipment such as external
equipment.
SVO9500: Select this when the
unit is used to replace an
existing Sony SVO-9500MD
video cassette recorder.
[NORMAL]: Data is recorded in
units of several seconds, and is
written consecutively to the
HDD and then the DVD during
recording. If a disc error
occurs, data can be recovered
from up until the point
immediately preceding the
error occurrence.
AFTER HDD: Data is written
only to the HDD during
recording, and is written to the
DVD during stop and
playback. After recording is
stopped, the disc cannot be
removed until the data writing
process to the disc is complete.
If a disc error occurs, data can
be recovered from the titles
recorded to the HDD.
