When you specify a high sensitivity, the amount of noise (interference) in the image shown on the screen before the shot
is taken increases. However, this is normal and does not indicate a fault.
High-sensitivity photography is retained even when the camera is turned off or the Mode dial is
changed to another setting.

such as close-up shots of people (portraits).
