Setting The RAID Level – The LaCie Biggest S1S is pre-configured at RAID level 5, but you have the option of customizing your RAID level in this step.

    4.1. Setting The RAID Level The LaCie Biggest S1S is pre-configured at RAID level 5, but it may be re-configured. The RAID level is set using the RAID Level Switch Selectors on the rear panel of the LaCie Biggest S1S. The RAID level selectors consist of two switches, with four possible switch position combinations: RAID 0, 0 + 1, 5 and 5 + Hot Spare.
