    4.1. Accessing the NAS Administra- tion Page The NAS administration page can be accessed using LaCie Net- work Assistant or by entering the IP address or name of the LaCie Network Space in a browser. NOTE: The IP address of your LaCie Network Space can be found by clicking on the Network tab of the LaCie Network As- sistant network configuration window.

    User Manual 4.2. Configuration The Configuration page (Fig. 4.2) displays basic information about your LaCie Network Space. You can modify any of the items on this page by clicking the corresponding oval “Modify” button on the right. Read the following sections to learn more about each of the items on the Configuration page.

The Admin account login is used to make changes to the NAS administration page and to access your private Myshare. The User account is for us- ers who want to remotely access the openshare via FTP (once FTP service enabled).

    When an external USB hard disk is connected to your LaCie Network Space, you can perform manual, bidirectional backups of your files. Copy files from your LaCie Network Space to the ex- ternal disk, or from the external disk to the LaCie Network Space.
