Connecting up
Connecting a DV camcorder
DVR-645H-S only
Using the front panel DV IN jack, it is
possible to connect a DV camcorder or video
deck, or DVD-R/-RW recorder and digitally
transfer DV tapes or DVD-R/-RW discs to
DVD-R/-RW.
Important
• This jack is for connection to DV
equipment only. It is not compatible with
digital satellite receivers or D-VHS video
decks.

• Use a DV cable (not supplied) to
connect the DV jack of your DV
camcorder/video deck to the front
panel DV IN jack of this recorder.

DVR-645H-S only
Using the USB ports on the front of the
recorder you can connect USB devices such
as digital cameras and printers. Please also
see the instructions that came with the
device you want to connect before using.

The Mass Storage Class (MSC) device
should be FAT-compatible. Note that if the
device is partitioned, this recorder may not
recognize it.
The Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) can be
used to transfer up to about 4000 files.
