CD-ROM

The Vertu CD-ROM works on a compatible computer with a CD-ROM
drive, with Microsoft® Windows® 2000, Microsoft® Windows® XP or
Microsoft® Vista® installed. You need at least 250 MB of free disk space
and administrator rights to the PC.
The Vertu CD-ROM works on a Macintosh computer with Mac OS X 10.4.6
(or later) and iSync 2.2 (or later) installed.
Connecting to a computer
To connect your Vertu phone to a computer, you need either a Vertu USB data
cable or your computer must be compatible with Bluetooth wireless technology.
Installing Vertu PC Suite
Follow the procedure below to install Vertu PC Suite on a Microsoft®
Windows® or Microsoft® Vista® computer after inserting the CD-ROM.
1. Insert the Vertu CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. Select English on the language selection screen.
3. Click on the "Install Now" button.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Vertu PC Suite
When Vertu PC Suite has been installed, connect your Vertu phone to the
computer using Bluetooth or a USB data cable. Once connected, you can use
the following applications to extend the functionality of your Vertu phone.
If you see a message prompt asking you to select a USB mode, open your
Vertu phone, and then select PC Suite.

Installing iSync Plug-in
You can install the iSync Plug-in on a Macintosh computer following the
procedure below. Using iSync, you can synchronise the Contacts and
Calendar data between your Vertu phone and Macintosh computer.
1. Insert the Vertu CD-ROM into your Macintosh's CD-ROM drive.
2. Double-click the VERTU icon that will appear on the desktop.
3. Double-click the Vertu.osx icon that appears in the Finder.
4. Select English on the language selection screen.
5. Click on the "Install Now" button.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Viewing the electronic Quick Guide
You can view the electronic version of the Quick Guide from the CD-ROM
as well.
1. Insert the Vertu CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
2. Select English on the language selection screen.
3. Click the "Launch PDF" button.
Installing Map Loader
By installing Map Loader on your computer, you can use this Map Loader
PC software to update the maps and voice guidance files stored on the
memory card of your Vertu phone to the latest version. These map data
(and voice guidance files for navigation with a purchased license) are used
in the World Maps service (page 47).
Vertu PC Suite (page 49) must be installed on the same computer in order
to use Map Loader. We recommend you install Vertu PC Suite first before
installing Map Loader.
You also need the Internet connection to download Map Loader.
