Still Picture

EXPERT
The player uses one of two processes when displaying a still
frame from a DVD disc.

Angle Indicator

Move
Field :
produces a stable, generally shake-free image.
Frame :
produces a sharper image, but more prone to shake than field
stills.
Auto (default) :
automatically chooses the best setting each time.
< Depending on the disc, the image might be shaky even when
"Field" is selected.

If you select "Off", messages (such as ",1" appears during
scan) will not appear on the screen, and the DISPLAY button
will not work.
Angle Indicator
EXPERT
Select whether the angle mark appears on the screen or not
during playback of a multi-angles scene.

On (default) : ANGLE mark appears on the screen.

Settings (Language)

OSD Language

You can select the language for OSD (On Screen Display). This
setting allows you to select a preferred language for the Setup
menu and operating messages. The default language is
ENGLISH.

If the language you specify here is recorded on a DVD disc,
the system automatically plays the disc in that language
(although this depends on the Auto Language setting of page
45).
< If the language you specify here is not recorded on a DVD disc,
one of the actual recorded languages is automatically
selected.
< If you want to specify a language other than those listed, see
page 45.
< You can select any recorded language for audio by pressing
the AUDIO button when playing a DVD disc. (It does not affect
this setting.)
< You cannot change this setting during playback.
