3.2.2. Network Topologies

VoWLAN topologies have quickly evolved since OmniPCX Release 7.1 (MIPT 2.0). Now a single
Com server can drive several SVP Servers, each SVP Server being in a separate VLAN/IP
subnets).

3.2.2.1. Campus definiton

Network topology where all components (Com Servers, IPMG, Switch/Routers, etc.) are
scattered over a large geographic area and are interconnected through High Speed links (such as
Fiber Optic cabling), resulting in no delay or bandwidth concerns.

3.2.2.2. Multi-Node definiton

Several OmniPCX Enterprise Nodes belonging to the same Homogenous ABC network.

3.2.2.3. Multi-Site definiton

Topology comprised of a Single OmniPCX Enterprise Node with one or several remote site(s).

3.2.2.4. Multi-SVP definiton

Topology made of several independent SVP Servers installed at different logical sites.

3.2.2.5. SVP-Cascading definiton

Group of SVP Servers (of a common type) to increase the maximum quantity of supported users.
