Thank you for your purchase of a UR-3 Lens Adapter for the COOLPIX775. The adapter is for use only
with the COOLPIX775, and allows you to attach lens converters to the camera. Compatible converters
(wideangle converter WC-24 / WC-E63 and telephoto converter TC-E2) are sold separately.
Safety Precautions
To ensure proper operation, read this leaflet before using this product, and be sure to keep it where it can be
seen by all those who use the product.
WARNING
Keep out of reach of children
Care should be taken to prevent infants from putting small parts of the product in their mouths. If any part
of the product is inadvertently swallowed, medical attention should be sought immediately.
Using the adapter
CAUTION
Before attaching or removing the adapter, always make sure that the camera is turned off and that the camera
lens is stowed.
Attaching the adapter

Check that the camera is turned off, and that the camera lens is stowed (Figure 1).

Open the upper part of the adapter (Figure 2).

Insert the upper part of the camera lens into the adapter (Figure 3).

Pull the base of the adapter towards you, and attach it around the base of the camera (Figure 4).

Pull the upper part of the adapter down, so that it fits over the camera on either side of the viewfinder (Figure 5).
6 Insert the screw*, included with the adapter, into the tripod socket, and secure the adapter (Figure 6).
*To prevent the screw from being lost, it can be tied to the bottom of the adapter with some string (not included).
7 Attach the desired lens converter to the front of the adapter* (Figure 7).
*The illustration shows the WC-E63 as an example.
CAUTION
Do not force lens converters into the adapter. You may damage the adapter.
CAUTION
When attaching or removing the adapter, always make sure that the camera is turned off and that the camera
lens is not extended.
Attach only those lens converters listed below:
Wideangle converter WC-24
Wideangle converter WC-E63
Telephoto converter TC-E2
Do not attempt to attach any other lens converters.
Do not walk holding the camera by the camera strap with the adapter still attached to the camera. The adapter
may be damaged if it falls from the camera.
Camera settings when using lens converters
Use the LCD monitor (not the viewfinder) to take your pictures.

* Digital zoom can be used with the telephoto converter.
The speedlight, red-eye reduction lamp and self-timer lamp are obstructed by the lens converter and
can not be used.
IMPORTANT
Note that if the camera zoom is not in the correct position when using a telephoto lens, the corners of the image
may become dark.
Removing the adapter
(To remove the adapter, perform the opposite operations to those performed when attaching the adapter)

Check that the camera is off, and that the lens is stowed.

Remove the converter lens, and remove the screw from the tripod socket.
3 Unhook the upper part of the adapter from either side of the viewfinder, then remove the adapter from
the base of the camera.

Bitte achten Sie darauf, dass Kinder keine kleinen Teile des Adapters in den Mund stecken. Sollte ein Teil
versehentlich verschluckt werden, ist umgehend ärztliche Hilfe erforderlich.
Verwendung des Adapters
Achtung
Bevor Sie den Adapter an der Kamera ansetzen oder von ihr abnehmen, stellen Sie sicher, dass die Kamera
ausgeschaltet und das Objektiv ganz eingefahren ist.
Ansetzen des Adapters
1 Prüfen Sie, ob die Kamera ausgeschaltet und das Objektiv ganz eingefahren ist (Abbildung 1).
2 Klappen Sie den oberen Teil des Adapters nach vorne (Abbildung 2).
3 Führen Sie das Objektiv mit seiner Oberkante in den Adapter ein (Abbildung 3).

Ziehen Sie die untere Lasche des Adapters auf sich zu und legen Sie sie um den Kameraboden (Abbildung 4).

Klappen Sie die obere Lasche des Adapters herunter, so dass sie über der Kameraoberseite liegt und das Sucher-
okular ab beiden Seiten umschließt (Abbildung 5).
6 Drehen Sie die mitgelieferte Schraube* in das Stativgewinde uns sichern Sie so den Adapter (Abbildung 6).
* Um die Schraube vor Verlust zu schützen, kann sie am Adapterboden mit einer Schnur gesichert werden (nicht im Lieferumfang).

Schrauben Sie den gewählten Objektivkonverter vorn in den Adapter ein*(Abbildung 7).
* Die Abbildung zeigt als Beispiel den Weitwinkel-Konverter WC-E63.
Achtung
Schrauben Sie niemals Objektivkonverter mit Gewalt in den Adapter ein, sie könnten ihn beschädigen.
Achtung

Versuchen Sie nicht andere Konverter einzusetzen.
Halten Sie beim Gehen die Kamera nicht am Kameratrageriemen, wenn der Adapter an der Kamera sitzt.
Er könnte beschädigt werden, wenn er von der Kamera herunterfällt.

Nutzen Sie zum Fotografieren den LCD-Monitor (nicht den optischen Sucher).

* Das Digitalzoom kann zusammen mit dem Telekonverter verwendet werden.
Blitzgerät, Lampe zur Rote-Augen-Reduzierung und Selbstauslöserlampe werden vom Objektivkonverter
verdeckt und können nicht genutzt werden.
Wichtig
Beachten Sie bitte, dass die Bildecken abdunkeln können, wenn Sie einen Telekonverter verwenden und das
Objektiv sich nicht in der richtigen Zoom-Position befindet.
Abnehmen des Adapters
(Zum Abnehmen des Adapters gehen Sie in der umgekehrten Reihenfolge vor, wie beim Ansetzen des Adapters)

Prüfen Sie, ob die Kamera ausgeschaltet und das Objektiv ganz eingefahren ist.

Schrauben Sie den Objektiv-Konverter ab und entfernen Sie die Schraube aus dem Stativgewinde.

Haken Sie den oberen Teil des Adapters an beiden Seiten des Sucherokulars aus und lösen Sie dann den
Adapter vom Kameraboden.
