    Starting up Before switching on, it is a good idea to oil the blades. Connect the extension lead to the hedge trimmer using the pull out cable stop, only when you reach where you will be working.     Electrical safety Voltage Make sure that your electricity supply voltage corresponds to that written on the hedge trimmer’s motor plate. Current The hedge trimmer will only work with alternating current. Plugs/extension leads We strongly advise the use of pro- tected sockets, leads and plugs in PVC or approved rubber.
