IMPORTanT SafeTY InSTRUCTIOnS This manual contains important instructions for the HTUPS that should be followed during installation and maintenance of the HTUPS. Please read and observe the following safety points at all times . CaUTIOn: When the On/Off switch is on, the Battery Power supplied outlets are powered by the battery, even when the unit is not plugged in . - Page 6 Do not attempt to defeat the grounding feature by using a 3-to-2 prong adapter . The Monster HTUPS requires a properly grounded outlet for safety and to protect connected equipment . If you’re not sure if your home’s electrical wiring is properly grounded, have it checked by a qualified electrician .

THe HeaD MOnSTeR Dear Enthusiast, THANK YOU for purchasing the Monster Power Home Theater Uninterruptible Power Supply 2700 . The HTUPS 2700 is designed to maintain power to critical home theater components during power outages for up to 1 hour* with an internal backup battery . This lets your DVR record scheduled shows, preserves home theater settings, prevents data corruption on media servers, and prevents costly projector bulb damage . - Page 9 . Monster PowerCenters featuring Clean Power each have a designated Clean Power stage from 1 to 5 . The higher the Clean Power stage number, the more advanced the filters are that reject electronic noise on your AC power line .

PaTenTeD MOnSTeR T2 SURGe PROTeCTIOn ™ T2 is microprocessor-controlled circuit that works together with the PowerCenter’s surge-absorbing MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors) and thermal fuses . T2 actively monitors the line, neutral, and ground power lines for electrical surges, dips, and spikes and automatically disconnects the PowerCenter and your AV equipment from AC power when it detects a dangerous sustained power dip or surge (continuous voltage below 80Vrms or above 135Vrms) . -

The HTUPS 2700 must be plugged into a properly grounded, three-prong AC power outlet . In addition, Monster recommends charging the batteries for at least four hours prior to using HTUPS 2700 . To charge or recharge the batteries, simply plug your HTUPS 2700 into an AC outlet . -

baTTeRY COnneCTIOn anD RePlaCeMenT InSTRUCTIOnS For safety reasons, the HTUPS 2700 is shipped with the internal battery disconnected . The HTUPS 2700 will not operate until the internal battery is first connected . Follow these steps to connect or disconnect the battery . Step One: Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws on the bottom of the HTUPS, and open... - Page 18 Step Three: Replace the battery into the battery compartment, as shown below .
