Symptom
HTUPS 2700 is always
in battery mode .
Backup time is too short .
Alarm beeps continuously .
nOTe: It is normal for HTUPS 2700 to feel hot to the touch during normal or back-up operation .

Possible Cause
Power cord is loose .
HTUPS 2700 is defective .
The battery is not fully charged .
HTUPS 2700 is defective or home
theatre system total draw is higher
than 360W .
An overload condition is occurring .

Remedy
• Ensure that the power cord is
firmly plugged into the back
of the unit and the AC wall outlet .
• Please see warranty information.
• Recharge HTUPS 2700's
batteries for at least 4 hours .
• Add additional backup
power capacity with the
Monster HTBX 1000
battery extension module .
• Please see warranty information.
• Make sure the total system for
backup is less than 360W .
• Unplug or turn off one or more of
the devices plugged into the UPS/
AVR outlets until the alarm stops .
