Installing the options and
replacing the calendar battery
Before you proceed, please read the preceding "Safety
cautions" and "Cautions when installing option boards
or memory." The sound module must be removed
from the keyboard assembly in order to perform these
procedures. For details on how to remove the sound
module, please see the "Keyboard assembly Manual."
You will need a Phillips (+) screwdriver and a
cushioned surface to protect the sliders and knobs
from damage. You can also use a stack of magazines
(or the equivalent). Place the magazines at the four
corners of the sound module to protect the sliders and
knobs from damage, and place the sound module face
down on them.
You must leave the AC power cable disconnected
until you've finished the entire installation
process.
Be careful not to cut your hand on any metal parts
of the sound module or option board.
