Using the Flash Button
Use the flash when you take pictures at night, indoors, or
outdoors in heavy shadows.
Flash Modes (vary by picture-taking mode)
Auto
Force Flash
Press the Flash button
to cycle through flash
modes.The current flash
mode appears at the
bottom of the LCD.
Red-Eye Reduction
Off
Using the Focus Button
Press the Focus Button to cycle
through focus modes. The current
focus mode appears at the bot-
tom of the LCD (Only Available in
P, M and Panorama Modes).

Normal AF
Normal picture taking.

Distant scenery or taking pictures
Infinity AF
through a window. (Turn off the flash
when taking pictures through glass)
