Caring
for others
Keep _he volume at a moderate level. This will
allow you to ]lear outside
sounds
and to be
considerate
of the people pound
you.
On
the
MiniDisc
cartridge
• When carrying or storing the MiniDisc,
keep
it in its case.
• DO no_ break open the shutter.
• Do not place 1he cartridge where it will be
subject to light, extreme
temperatures,
moisture
or dus_.
• Attach the supplied
MD label only in the
space designaled
for it on the disc. Do not
stick it on any other disc surPace.
On
cleaning
• Clean tile recorder
casing _,_sit b a soft cloth
slightly moistened
with wa_er or a mild
detergent
solution.
DO ]lot use any type of
abrasive pad, scouring
powder or solvent
such
as alcohol
or benzene
as it may mar tile finish
oflhe
casing.
• Wipe the disc cartridge
with a dry cloth to
remove dirt.
• Dusl on lhe lens may prevent the unit from
operating
properly.
Be sure to close the disc
compartment
lid af]er inserting
or ejeOing
an
MD.
• To oNain
the best sound quality, use a dry
cloth to wipe the plugs oflhe
headphones/
earphones.
Dirly plugs may cause sound
distortion or intermillent
breaks
in the sound.
Notes
on
battery
Incorrect
b_ltery usage may lead to leakoge
of
battery
fluid or bursting
baltery. To prevent
such accidents,
observe tile following
precautions:
• Install the _ and
poles of the ballery
correOly.
• When tile recorder is nol to be used for a long
time, be sure to remove the battery.
• Do nol carry or store file dry battery
with
metallic
objects such as coins, key rings, or
necklaces.
This inky cause a short-circuit
and
the generation
of heat.
• lfa battery leak should develop,
caretu!ly
and
flloroughly
wipe away b_ltery fluid from file
battery compartment
before inserting
new
ones.
Note
on mechanical
noise
The recorder
gives off mechanical
noise while
operating,
which
is caused by the power-saving
system
of the recorder
and it is not a problem.
To
protect
a recorded
MD
To record-protect
an MD, slide open the tab at
the side of_he MD. In ibis position,
the MD
cannot be recorded
or edited. To record again,
slide the tab back so the tab is visible.
