g the Sensitivity
You can set the sensitivity to suit the brightness of the surroundings.
The sensitivity can be set to [AUTO] or within a sensitivity range equivalent
to ISO 100 to 3200. The default setting is [AUTO].

Turn the rear e-dial (;,,_,,_) while
pressing
the ISO button in
Capture
mode.
The sensitivity
displayed
on the status
screen
and LCD
panel
and in the
viewfinder
changes.
Press the ®
(Green)
button
while
pressing
the 180 button
to return
to
[AUTO].
Take your finger off the ISO button and rear e-dial (;,,_,,¢).
The sensitivity is set.
• To set the sensitivity,
you can also press the 180 button once and take your
finger offthe
button, and then turn the rear e-dial ('o,,_,,,')to change the
sensitivity.
In this case. press the ISO button again or turn off the exposure
metering
timer (p.114) to set the sensitivity.
• When the exposure
mode is set to BB (Green),
TAv (Shutter
& Aperture
Priority) or j1_ (Movie), the sensitivity
is fixed to [AUTO] and the setting
cannot be changed.
• When the exposure
mode is set to B (Bulb), the upper sensitivity
limit is ISO
1600.
• When the exposure mode is set to Sv
(Sensitivity Priority), M (Hyper-manual).
B (Bulb) or X (Flash X-sync Speed), the sensitivity cannot be set to [AUTO].
• The sensitivity
range can be expanded to a range of ISO 100 to 6400 when [3.
Expanded
Sensitivity]
in the [C Custom Setting 1] menu (p.85) is set to [On].
• Captured
images
can show more noise ifa higher sensitivity
is set. You can
reduce
image noise by setting [19. High-ISO
Noise Reduction]
in the
[C Custom
Setting 3] menu. (p.92)
• You can set whether
to lock the sensitivity
adjustment
to increments
of 1 EV
or to coordinate
it with the EV Steps (p.116) in [2. Sensitivity
Steps] in the [C
Custom
Setting 1] menu (p.85).
Set the range in which the sensitivity is automatically adjusted when the
sensitivity is set to [AUTO]. The sensitivity is automatically corrected in the
range of [ISO 100-800] by default.
