PREPARING THE ENGmNE
Forenginesstoredover30 days:
1, To preventgumfrom formingin fuelsystemor on carburetor
parts,run engineuntil it stopsfrom lack offuel or add a gasoline
additiveto the gas in the tank, if you usea gas additive,run the
enginefor severalminutesto circulatethe additivethroughthe
carburetor--afterwhich theengine andfuel can be stored up to
six months,
2, Whib engine is still warm,changethe oil
3, Removespark plugand pourapproximately 1 oz, (30 ml)of clean
engineoil intothe cylinder,Pull the recoilstarterseveraltimesto
distributethe oil, and reinstallthespark plug,
4, Cban engineof surfacedebris,

Whenstoringthe yardvacuumin an unventilated or metalstorage
shed, careshouldbe taken to rustproofthe non-paintedsurfaces,
Usinga lightoil or silicone,coat the equipment,especiallyany
springs,bearings,and cabbs,
Removeall dirt fromexteriorof engineand equipment,
Followlubricationrecommendations,
Storeequipmentin a clean,dry area,Do not storein an area
whereequipmentis presentthat may usea pilot lightor hasa
componentthat cancreatea spark,
