Starter Rope / Recoil Starter
The pull rope/recoilstarteris usedto startthe engine.
Primer
The primeris usedto pumpgas into thecarburetorand
aid in startingtheengine.Use it to start a coldengine,
but do not useit to restarta warmengineafter a short
shutdown.

Blade Control
Locatedon the upper handle,the bladecontrol mustbe
depressedagainstthe upper handlein order to operate
the unit. Releasingthe bladecontrol stopsthe engine
and the edger blade. See Figure3.
Blade Depth Control Lever
The bladedepthcontrol leveris locatedon the right side
of the upper handle.It is usedto controlthe depthof the
cut. Thefurther forwardthe bladedepthcontrolleveris
moved,the deeperinto the soilthe edger bladewill cut.
