*For best results, operate
the UV-500 continuously 24
hours a day.
The high intensity ultraviolet light attacks airborne mold, bacteria, and viruses. The high efficiency filter traps
allergens, dust, and pollen. The carbon filter removes odors and attacks VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
LEAVE THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS WITH THE OWNER/OPERATOR OF THE DEVICE.
AFTER OPENING THE CARTON, UNPACK AND INSPECT THE UNIT AND LAMP FOR DAMAGE.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS

WARNING: Never expose eyes or skin to UVC light from any source.
• Looking directly at the UVC light may cause permanent eye damage or blindness.
• Never operate the UV-Aire Air Purifying System with the UV lamp access door open.
WARNING: DO NOT mount this unit outdoors.
• This product is designed for indoor installation only.
WARNING: To avoid electrical shock hazard, do not operate in wet environment.
This product is not sold as a medical device and is not for the purpose of diagnosis of any disease or condition nor for
use in the mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease or condition.
READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND COMPLETELY BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION.
This device MUST be installed by a qualified agency in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. The definition of
a qualified agency is: any individual, firm, corporation or company which either in person or through a representative is engaged
in, and is responsible for, the installation and operation of HVAC appliances, who is experienced in such work, familiar with all the
precautions required, and has complied with all the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.

  • Page 3 Insert the ceramic tip of the lamp into the UV port and twist the lamp connector clockwise to lock in place. (See Figure 3) With unit still UNPLUGGED, insert the lamp power connector into the recessed receptacle on the unit. (See Figure 4) Close the access door and install the access door screw provided in the bagged parts.
  • Page 4 Slide the filter drawer out of the base. Remove one of the four filters from its plastic bag and place it in the drawer with arrow/carbon side up. (See Figure 6) Slide the filter drawer with filter back into the base unit. Press firmly until drawer catches.
  • Page 5 MAINTENANCE Replace 10"x 10" intake filter every 90 days. The LED beside the filter indicator will turn RED and the display will say FILTER: CHANGE when it is time to replace the filter. Replace your UV-Aire Air Purifying System lamp once a year to ®...
  • Page 6 Disconnect the lamp connection, then rotate lamp-mounting knob counterclockwise and pull the lamp out of the unit. (See Figures 10 & 11) Remove lamp carefully by un-plugging the lamp from the lamp- mounting knob. (See Figure 12) NOTE: When replacing the lamp, always wipe off lamp with the supplied alcohol wipe before installing.
