Use blades to cut materials described in the
Blade Selection and Use Section. Do not use
for any other purpose.
•
Exercise extreme caution when using the
blade with this unit. BLADE THRUST is the
reaction that may occur when the spinning
blade contacts anything it cannot cut.
This contact may cause the blade to stop
for an instant, and suddenly "thrust" the
unit away from the object that was hit. This
reaction can be violent enough to cause
the operator to lose control of the unit.
BLADE THRUST can occur without
warning if the blade snags, stalls, or binds.
This is more likely to occur in areas where
it is difficult to see the material being cut.
Use rear part of guard as stop (A) as shown
to minimize this reaction (See Illustration 1).

ALWAYS WEAR STRAP and adjust as shown
in Illustration 2. Maintain a firm grip on both
handles while cutting with a blade. Keep blade
away from body and below waist.

Use heavy gloves while installing or removing
blades.
•
Inspect unit to be sure that blade is firmly
attached.

N'utiliser une lame que pour couper les matières

Faire extrêmement attention lorsqu'on
utilise une lame avec cet appareil. Un effet
de REBOND DE LA LAME peut se produire
lorsque la lame en rotation touche quelque
chose qu'elle ne peut pas couper. Ce con-
tact peut arrêter la lame pendant un in-
stant puis faire brusquement rebondir
l'appareil sur l'objet touché. Cette réaction
peut être suffisamment violente pour
occasionner la perte de contrôle de
l'appareil par l'utilisateur. Le REBOND DE
LA LAME peut se produire sans
avertissement préalable si la lame
s'emmêle ou se coince dans quelque
chose. Cela a tendance à se produire plus
fréquemment dans les endroits où il est
difficile de voir ce que l'on coupe.
Utiliser la butée arrière (A) dans la position
indiquée pour réduire le plus possible cette
réaction (voir la figure 1).
•
TOUJOURS PORTER LA BRETELLE DE
SÉCURITÉ et la régler comme le montre la
figure 2. Tenir fermement les deux poignées
lorsque l'on coupe avec une lame. Maintenir la
lame à bonne distance du corps et au-dessous
du niveau de la ceinture.
•
Porter des gants épais pour l'installation et le
retrait d'une lame.
•
Inspecter l'appareil pour s'assurer que la lame
est bien attachée.

Utilice las cuchillas para cortar los materiales

Tenga mucho cuidado cuando esté utilizando
la cuchilla en esta unidad. Cuando la cuchilla
que está girando entra en contacto con algún
elemento que no puede cortar se puede
producir una reacción conocida como
IMPULSO DE LA CUCHILLA. Este contacto
puede dar origen a que la cuchilla se pare
durante
repentinamente la unidad lejos del objeto
que ha sido golpeado. Esta reacción puede
ser lo suficientemente violenta como para
hacer que el operario pierda el control de la
unidad. El IMPULSO DE LA CUCHILLA se
puede producir sin aviso previo en aquellos
casos en que la cuchilla se rompe, se para o
se traba. Esto es más probable en aquellas
áreas en las que resulta difícil ver el material
que se está cortando.
Utilice el tope posterior (A), tal y como se indica
en la ilustración, con el fin de reducir al mínimo esta
reacción (Consulte la Ilustración 1).
•
LLEVE PUESTA LA CORREA EN TODO
MOMENTO y ajústela tal y como se indica en
la ilustración 2. Sujete ambas empuñaduras
firmemente mientras esté cortando con la
cuchilla. Mantenga la cuchilla alejada del
cuerpo y por debajo de la cintura.
•
Utilice guantes gruesos mientras esté
instalando o sacando las cuchillas.
•
Inspeccione la unidad con el fin de asegurarse de
que la cuchilla se encuentre acoplada firmemente.
