having the Dolby
audio system, the En-.

hancement
option replaces
the
SEQ, Surround,
and Null options.

MENU
OPERATION
Move the pointer to the top left of
the screen and point to the
AUDIO icon. Press the trackball.
Press on the option or on ,[he
slider bar to adjust the option.
Point and press on the desired
option to highlight it.
Move the pointer off the menu
and press the trackball
to remove
the menu from view.
o Bass
Treble
Balance
[] Audio
(SAP is not an option
Adjusts
the BASS (low-frequency)
level.
Adjusts the TREBLE
(high-frequency)
level.
Adjusts
the balance of sound between the two speakers.
Allows you to select STEREO,
MONO or 2ND AUDIO/SAP
operation.
After highlighting
_:he option,
press to toggle through
the choices:
STEREO:
Directs the sound to the Left and Right speakers
as supplied
by the program.
Stereo is the recommended
choice: The TV switches
automatically
between
the
STEREO
and MONO
modes clepending on the type of signal being received.
MONO:
Directs the same sound to both Left and Right speakers,
even if the program
!being
received is in stereo.
2ND AUDIO/
Directs the sound for the Second Audio Program
(second
language)
to both the Left
SAP:
and Right speakers.
SAP souncl is always; monaural.
If SAP is selected,
you hear
the SAP (usually a second language).
When the SAP broadcast
ends, the TV
switches
automatically
(defaults)
to the type of signal being received,
STEREO
or
MONO. The "IV switches
back to 2ND AUDIO/SAP
when the SAP broadcast
resumes.
Produces
a spacious
and more tonal sound. SEQ is only available
while a :stereo signal is being
received
and processed
by the TV.
Adjusts
the level of Surround
Sound provided
to the optional
sunound
sound speakers.
Surround
Sound is only available
if a surround-encoded
stereo signal is being received
and STEREO
is either
selected
using the AUDIO option or selected
by default.
Used to Minimize
front channel sound frem coming through the surround
speakers.
To adjust the
Null, while watching
a Dolby Surround-encoded
video tape, select Null and use the Left/Right
keys to
remove
any dialogue
that may be heard from the surround
_;peakers.
Provides
a list of options
for enhancing
the TV's audio. Thc options shown depend on what is selected
for the AUDIO option above. See the information
following
this chart for more details.
