audio system, the Enhancement op-
t'/" tion appears in place of the SEQ, Surround,
and Null options.

Press the Left/Right keys to adjust

Press the Up/Down keys until the de-
sired option is either highlighted or se-
lected.

the TV to return to normal operation.

Adjusts the BASS (low-frequency) level.
Adjusts the TREBLE (high-frequency) level.
Adjusts the balance of sound between the two speakers.
Allows you to se]ect STEREO, MONO or 2ND AUDIO/SAP operation.
STEREO: Directs the sound to the Left and Right speakers as supplied by the pro_am. Stereo is the
recommend choice: The TV switches automatically between the STEREO and MONO
modes depending on the type of signal being received.
MONO: Directs the same sound to both Left and Right speakers, even if the program being
received is in stereo.
2ND AUDIO/
SAP:
Directs the sound for the Second Audio Program (.second language,) to tx)th the Left and Right
speakers. SAP sound is always monatnal. If SAP is selected, you he_ the SAP (usually a second
language). When the SAP broadcast ends, the TV switches automatically (defaults) to the type of
signal being received, STEREO or MONO. The "IY switches back to 2ND AUDIO/SAP when
the SAP broadcast resumes.
ta SEQ (Spatial Produces a spacious and more tonal sound. SEQ is only available while a stereo signal is being received and

Surround Adjusts the level of Surround Sound provided to the optional surround sound speakers. Surround Sound is
only available if a surround encoded stereo signal is being received and STEREO is either selected using
the AUDIO option or selected by default.
ca Null Used to Minimize front channel sound from coming through the surround speakers. To adjust the Null,
while watching a Dolby Surround-encoded video tape, select Null and use the Left/Right keys to remove
any dialogue that may be heard from the surround speakers.
a Enhancement Provides options for enhancing the TV's audio. The options shown depend on what is selected for the
(Dolby Pro Logic AUDIO option above. See the information following this chart for more details.

lVlono or SAP Your audio Enhancement options are Off and Pseudo Stereo. Off specifies that no Enhancement is
Selected: activated. Pseudo Stereo enhances monaural audio to emulate stereo-like sound.
Stereo Your audio Enhancement options are Off, Concert ttall, Theater, Night Club, Stadium, Dolby Pro
Selected: Logic-Normal and Dolby Pro Logic-Phantom. Off specifies that no Enhancement is activated. For the
other options, see "Stereo Operation," and "Dolby Pro Logic Operation."
NOTE:
ci All adjustments on the Audio Menu are optional. You do not have to adjust these features in order to use your "IV.
