Testing the Fuse
A fuse test is performed each time you turn on the tester. If leads are plugged
into the L and PE terminals, the fuse test is skipped. If a blown fuse is detected,
testing is disabled, FUSE appears on the primary display, and the tester issues
a warning beep.
You can also perform a manual check of the fuse.
To manually check the fuse:
1.
Turn the rotary switch to either or switch setting.
2.
Short the leads and press and hold .
3.
If the fuse is bad, FUSE will appear on the display to indicate the tester is
damaged and needs repair. Contact Fluke Service for repair (see
Contacting Fluke).
