Listening to a CD
Insert a CD.
PJayback starts automatically.
Label side up
If a CD is already inserted, press
repeatedly until '_CD" appears to start playback.

To play back an 8 cm (3 in.) CD, use the optional
Sony compact disc single adapter (CSA-8).

Changing the display item
Each Rme you press _ during CD
playback, the item changes as follows:

Locating a specific track

During CD playback, press either side of
for each track you want to
skip.

Locating a specific point in a track
-- Manual Search
During playback, press and hold either side
of _ for about "two seconds.
Release when you have found the desired
point.
Note
If "L L L I." or ""1 "l "1 "1" appears in the display,
you have reached the beginning or the end of the
disc and you cannot go any further,
Playing a CD in various
modes
Playing tracks repeatedly
-- Repeat Play
Press Q during playback.
"REPEAT" appears in the display.
When theeurre_t t_ack is over, it will l_ayagai_
from thebeginning.
To return to normal playback mode, press again.
Playing tracks in random order
-- Shuffle Play
Press Q during playback.
"SHUF" appears in the display.
To return to normal playback mode, press again.
