Symptom
A disc cannot be _jected and
"LOCKED" appears in the front
panel display.
]Data error] appears on the TV
screen when playing a DATA
CD or DATA DVD.

Remedy
• Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service fi,cility.
• The MP3 file/JPEG image file/DivX vide() file you want to play is broken
(except for United Kingdom and Nol_h American models).
• The data is not MPEG I Audio Layer 3 data.
• The JPEG image file format does not conform to DCF.
• The JPEG image file has the extension "JPG" or ".JPE(I,"but is not in JPEG
format.
• The file you want to play has the extension ".AVI"or ".DIVX"but is not in
DivX format, or is in DivX lk)rmat but does not conform to a DivX Certified
profiles (except for United Kingdom and North American models).
• Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the wall outlet (mainsL then
reconnect after several nlinl_ltes.
• When "HDMI"does not light up in the front panel display, check the HDMI
connection (page 26).
• Set the [CONTROL FOR HDMI] setting ill [HDMI SETUPI to [ONI (page 64).
• Make sure that the connected component is compatible with the [CONTROL
FOR HDMI] Rmction.
• Check that the AC power cord (mains lead) of the connected component is
connected securely.
• Check the connected component's setting for the Control for HDMI function.
Refer to the operating instructions supplied with the component.
• lfyou change the HDMI connection, connect and disconnect the AC power
cord (mains lead), or have a power failure, set the ]CONTROL FOR HDMI]
setting in [HDMI SETUPI to [OFFI, then set the [CONTROL FOR HDMII
setting in [HDMI SETUPI to [ONI (page 64).

• Set the ]AUDIO (HDMI)] setting ill [CUSTOM SETUP] to [ON] (page 65).
• Make sure that the connected TV is compatible with the System Audio Control
function.

Symptom
S-AIR connection is not
established (sound transmission
is not established), e.g., the
indicator of the S-AIR sub unit
does the l_)llowing:
•Turn s off.
• Flashes
• Turns red
Remedy
•lfyou use another S-AIR main unit, place it more than 8 m (26 J/4 lieet)_JX_r_J) ,
from the unit.
• Confirm the ID of the unit and S-AIR sub unit (page 78).
• You performed pairing the unit and another S-AIR sub unit. Perform pairing of
the desired S-AIR sub unit (page 80).
• The unit is paired to another S-AIR sub unit. Cancel pairing.
• Install the S-AIR main unit and S-AIR sub unit away from other wireless
products.
• Stop using another wireless product.
• The S-AIR sub unit is turned off. Make sure the AC power cord (mains lead) is
connected and turn on the S-AIR sub unit.
