• If all front and surround speakers are not placed at an
equal distance from your listening position, set the
distance according to the closest speaker.
• Do not place the surround speakers farther away from
your listening position than the front speakers.
• Depending on the input stream, the [DISTANCE]
setting may not be effective.
• [LEVEL (FRONT)]
You can adjust the sound level of the fl'ont
speakers, center speaker, and subwoofer. You
can set the parameters from -6.0 dB to 0 dB for
[L/R1, and flom -6.0 dB to +6.0 dB for
[CENTER1 and [SUBWOOFER1. Be sure to set
[TEST TONE1 to [ON1 for easy adjustment.
[L/R1 0.0 dB: Set the flont speaker level.
[CENTER1 0.0 dB*: Set the center speaker
level.
[SUBWOOFER1 +2.0 dB: Set the subwoofer
level.
* This item appears when you set [CENTER] to
[YES] in the [CONNECTION] setting.
• [LEVEL (SURROUND)]
You can adjust the sound level or'the surround
speakers. You can set the parameter flom -6.0
dB to +6.0 dB. Be sure to set [TEST TONE1 to
[ON1 for easy adjustment.
[L/R] 0.0 dB*: Set the surround speaker level.
* This item appears when you sel [SURROUND] to
[YES] in the [CONNECTION] setting.
• [TEST TONE]
The speakers will emit a test tone to adjust
[LEVEL (FRONT)I and [LEVEL
(SURROUND)I.
[OFFI: The test tone is not emitted from the
speakers.
[ONI: The test tone is emitted from each speaker
in sequence while adjusting level. When you
select one of the [SPEAKER SETUP1 items, the
test tone is emitted from each speaker in
sequence.
Adjust the sound level as follows.
1 Set the [TEST TONE] to [ON].

Press <-1'1"14,1+ repeatedly to select the
desired speaker and the level.
3 Press @.

Repeat Steps 1 to 3.

Press <-1'I'14,1+repeatedly to set [TEST
TONE] to [OFF] after adjusting the
speaker level.
