Delete Protection
It is possible to prevent your h_ages recorded on the card flom being acckiemally erased
by using the delete pro_ctk)n feature.
1 Make sure the card is inserted (see page l{).

2. Open the LCD monitor and adjust.
3. Set the I)SC MODE switch to CARD.
4. Hold down the Lock button and set the POWER
switch to PLAY. The images recorded on the
card are displayed in a thumbnail ff)rmat.
5. 3k)uch I_ROTIZCTon the thumbnail screen to
display the I_ROTI_'CTscreen.
• If a full screen picture of a still image is
displayed. Touch the screen and touch 1/2 to

If the image you want to protect does not
appear, touch @ or @ to scroll through the
thumbnail images.
Touch the image to select and highlight it and
_)uch the ilTlage again to protect it. The ¢_
indicator appears on the image when it is
proceed.
• To set the protection for the image enclosed
by the selection flame, touch the image once.
• If you want to protect another image, repeat
steps 6 and 7.

To Cancel the Protection Setting
1. Perf_)rm steps 1 7 above
2. 'lk)uch the image to select and higllligllt it, and touch the image again to cancel
protection. The _ indicator disappears.
'lk) cancel the protection for the image enclosed by the selection frame, touch the
image once.
Note: Formatting a card deletes all images on it, including the ones with the delete-
protection setting,
