Turn on your TV and turn it to channel
3 or 4.
O
Turn
on the VCR by pressing
the POWER
button.
Check to see if the '_VCR" light on the front panel
display
is
lit. If it is not lit, press
the VCR/TV buttorL until it is lit.
You are viewing
the picture
from your VCR!
With this set-up,
you will use the VCR/TV button
when recording,
when viewing
tapes
or broadcast
stations
through
your VCR, or
before using the VCR's menus
You also use the VCR/TV button
to switch back to normal
TV viewing.
Viewingthe picture comingfrom your VCR ifyou are using a
monitorTV
Turn on your TV and switch it to the coJ_ect external
input.
(For most Mitsubishi
TVs, this means
pre:_sing the TV's
INPUT
button
until you see the words "Ext-l"
on the screen.)
Turn the VCR on by pressing
the POWER
button.
You are viewing
the picture
from your VCR!
If you wish to return
to normal
TV viewing,
switch your TV's
input
back to its previous
position.
If your system
includes
a home theater
receiv,er or an AN re-
ceiver, you need to refi_r to your home theater
receiver's
owner's
guide.

This section
explains
loading
and unloading
tapes.
Tapes
can be loaded into your VCR as long as the VCR is plugged
in. Even when the VCR POWER
is off, load!ing a tape will auto-
matically
turn the VCR on. Use only tapes
that have a _._label.
Loading a tape
Hold the tape so that the long narrow
edge with the contents
label faces towards
you. The other
edge is hinged
and should
face towards
the VCR. The plastic
window that
shows the
videotape
should face up.
Gently
insert
the tape into the cassette
sh)t until the VCR
automatically
takes
it in.
