DISCONNECTING
THE CAMERA
FROM A COMPUTER
Never disconnect
the camera when the indicator
lamp is lit - the data or memory card may
permanently
be damaged.
Windows 98 / 98 Second Edition
Confirm that the indicator
lamp is not lit. Turn the camera off, remove it from the cradle, and then
disconnect
the USB cable. If Kodak EasyShare is installed, right click on the EasyShare icon located
on the task bar and quit the application
before disconnecting
the camera.
Windows XP, 2000 Professional, and Me
To disconnect
the camera, click once on the unplug-or-eject-hardware
icon located
on the task bar. A small window opens indicating the device to be stopped.
Click on the small window to stop the
device; the safe-to-remove-hardware
message appears. Turn the camera off,
remove it from the cradle, and then
disconnect
the USB cable.
When more than one external device is connected
to the
computer,
repeat the procedure
above except right click on
R_cyd_ B_n
the unplug-or-eject-hardware
icon to open the unplug-or-
........
eject-hardware
window.

The hardware devices connected
to the system are displayed.
Click the display-device-components
check box. Highlight the
device to be stopped by clicking on it then click "Stop."
A confirmation
screen appears to indicate the devices to be
stopped. Clicking "OK" stops the device.
The safe-to-remove-hardware
message appears. Turn the
camera off, remove it from the cradle, and then disconnect
the USB cable.
Macintosh
Confirm that the indicator lamp is not lit and then drag the mass-
storage device icon and drop it into the trash. Turn the camera off,
remove it from the cradle, and then disconnect
the USB cable.
