DELAY
The Delay option can be used to
automaticallystartthe cycleat a later time
to reduce daytime heat buildup in the
home or to take advantage of reduced
energycosts if availablein your area.
TO SET UP A DELAY:
1. Close the door. Selecttheappropdate
cycle and options for the load.
2. Press the Delay pad until the desired
amountof delay time is selected.
3. The Delay indicator andthecountdown
display (select models) will flash until
theSTART!Cancel padis pressed.
4. As soon as the START/Cancel p ad is
pressed,theflashing will stop and the
delay timewill begincounting down.
The delayindicator w illremainlit until
the delaytimehascounted down.
5. The cyclewill automaticallystart as
soonas thedelaytimeexpires.

TO CANCELA DELAY:
When the delay is counting down, press
the Delay pad again. The indicator light
will go out and the cycle will start or
resumeimmediately.
TO CANCELA DELAYANDCYCLE:
Press START/Cancelonce to drain
and turnoff the dishwasher.

dishwasheroff withoutdraining.

LOCK
OPTION
(select models)
The control touchpads can be locked to
prevent unwanted use. If this feature is
activated betweencycles, the dishwasher
cannot be operated until the controlsare
unlocked. If desired, the controls can be
lockedafter a cycle or delayhas started.
SETTINGTHE CONTROLLOCK:
1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three
seconds.
2. An indicator light next to the lock
graphic will illuminate when the
controlsare locked.
TO CANCEL:
1. Press the Heated Dry pad for three
seconds.
2. The indicatorlight will go off.

If a cycleor optionpad ispressed
after the controls have been i
locked, t he indicator l ightnext to
the lock graphic will flash five
times. On selectedmodelswith a
countdown display,the display
will flash an "L" simultaneously
with the lock indicator.

TIPS
STARTING
THE D ISHWASHER
1. After loading the dishwesher a ndadding
detergent,close the dishwasher by
pressing thedoor until t he latchclicks.
2. To start the dishwasher, select the
desired cycle and options. The
indicator lights for the selected cycle
and optionswill illuminate.
3. Press the STARTICancelpad.After a
pause,the fill will begin. The display
countdown will flash until START/
Cancelis pressed.
4. To cancel an option,press the pad
again. To cancel a runningcycle,
presstheSTART/Cancelpad.
5. To prevent unplanned cycle or option
changes,these selectionsare "locked
in" after 1 minute.

AFORGOTTEN
ITEM
For best cleaning, the forgotten item
should be addedearlyin the cycle.
1. Grasp door handle and unlatch door
without openingcompletely. All lights
will flashto indicate thatthe cycle is
suspended.
2. Wait for the water circulationto stop.
3. Open the door and add the item.
4. Closeand latchthedoor.Ughtswillstop
flashing whenthedoor is propedyshut.
5. After a slight delay,the cycle resumes
automatically atthe paintof interruption.
I Extendedinterruption of thewash
cycleis not recommended.
