• Completely insert Power Plug into an AC outlet.
• Set POWER button to ON.
• Auto power*oft (shutoff) occurs after about 5 rain. in DVD mode
with no operation, or if there is no broadcast signal in TV or
Playback mode. Turn the power back on. (P. 21,37)
Make sure your antenna system (TV or CABLE), is correctly
set. (P. 1t)
Completely insert Power Plug into an AC outlet.
Set POWER button to ON.
Adjust BRIGHTNESS, SHARPNESS, and PICTURE controls in

• Adjust SHARPNESS and PICTURE controlsin the SET UP

Adjust TINT and COLOR controlsin the SET UP Video

• Install adirectional antenna.
• Make sure the selected channel is in unit's memory. (P. 16)
• Only the channel begin recorded can be viewed on this unit.

Check that clock is set to current time and date.

Timer recording may not be performed or continued if a power
interruption of more than 1 minute occurs before or during a
Timer Recording, even after power is restored.
Adjust TRACKING control in either direction. (P. 6)
Try Head Cleaning. (P. 6)
Make sure VCR LOCK is set to oft. (P. 39)
• Aim Remote directly at the remote sensor on the unit. (P. 10)
• Avoid any object blocking signal path.
