Electronic Analog Exposure Displays
The electronic
analog exposure
displays in the control panel and
viewfinder
show whether
the photograph
would
be under- or over-
exposed
at current settings. Depending
on the option
chosen for Custom
Setting b2 (EV steps for exposure
cntrl., pg. 292), the amount
of under-
or over-exposure
is shown in increments of 1/3 EV, 1/2 EV, or 1 EV. If the
limits of the exposure
metering
system are exceeded,
the displays will
flash.

If the camera is unable to achieve optimal
exposure at the shutter
speed
or aperture
selected in mode .Sor R, ;-__or L ,=,will be displayed

control panel and viewfinder,
and the electronic
analog exposure
display
will show the amount
by which the image will be under- or over-exposed.
