Macro mode is used for taking pictures of objects as (:lose as4 cm (1.6 in.). Note
that the flash may be unable to light the entire subject at distances of less than
S0 cm (1 ft. 8 in.).

Autofocus
When using I_1 (auto) mode, if Autofocus
mode

60) is set to Full-time
AF, the camera
focuses
continuously
until the shutter
release button
is pressed halfway
to lock the focus. Therefore,
the
sound
of lens drive movement
can be heard.
When using other
shooting
modes,
Full-time
AF is turned
on automatically
when
macro
mode
is
turned
on.

Mode
Setting
I_1 (auto) mode and continuous
shooting
mode
share the same macro
mode
setting.
When using
I_1 (auto) mode
or continuous
shooting
mode, the macro mode
setting
is saved in the camera's
memory
even if the ca mera is turned
off.
