Preset Manual
Preset manual is usd with mixed lighting or to compensate for light sources with a
strong color cast when tile desired effect has not been achieved with white balance
settings like Auto and Incandescent (for example, to make images shot under a
lamp with a red shade look as though they had been shot under white light).
Use the procedure below to measure the white balance value under the lighting
used during shooting.

Place a white or gray reference object under the lighting that will be
use._aduring shooting.
2 Display the shooting menu (1_[_]46), use the
rotary multi selector to choose PR[ Preset
manual in the White balance menu, and
press the I_) button.
The camerazoomsin to the position for measuringwhite
balance.

Choose Measure.
To apply the most recently measuredwhite balance
value,choose Canceland pressthe _) button. The white
balancesetting will not be measuredagain and the most
recentlymeasured valuewill be set.

Frame the reference object in the measuring
window.

5 Press the _) button to measure a value for preset manual.
The shutter is releasedand the new white-balance value is set. No image is saved.
_1_ Note on Preset Manual
A value for flash lighting cannot be measured with Preset manual, When shooting using the flash,
set White balance to Auto or Flash.
