Chute RodAdjustment
If the chute fails to remain stationary
during
operation,
increase
the preload
on the chute control
rod.
While preventing
the chute control
rod from turning
tighten
the nut on the chute gearbox
assembly.
See Fig.
6-7.
If the chute directional
control
is difficult
to crank, decrease the
preload
by loosening
the hex nut counterclockwise
in 1/4turn
intervals.
Off-Season Storage
If the snow thrower
will not be used for 30 days or longer, follow
the storage
instructions
below.

Lubricate
the machine
as instructed
earlier in this section.

Store in a clean, dry area.
If storing the snow thrower
in an unventilated
area,
rustproof
the machine
using a light oil or silicone
to coat
the snow thrower.
4.
Clean the exterior
of the engine and the snow thrower.

storing your engine.
