WhenanA/V Networkcable is connected b etween the television
andVCRandthe following conditions aremet,yourtelevision has
twoadditionalfeatures.
If...
J You set up "StarSight," and
•/ Your VCR is one of the following models: I-IS-U500, HS-U550,
HS-U650, HS-U770, HS-U5]0, HS-U560, or HS-U760, a_d
J You have set "A/V Network" on your television and VC£ to
"Active."
Then...
€" The television will control your VCR to record current and
future programs.
J You will not have to "set up" your VCR during the StarSight
authorization procedure.
J An error message will be displayed when you record from the
"StarSight" screen if the VCR is:
• currently recording;
• playing a tape;
• turned off; or
• if a tape is not inserted into the VCR

If connected, the A/V Network will still pass remote control signals,
even when the television's A!V Network setting is "Off."
If you have not connected the A/V Network, seL "A/V Network" to
"Off," or there may be problems selecting channels on your TV.
If you are using a Mitsubishi VCR with A/V Network or Active A!V
Network, you should have connected it to th,_ ]NPUT-1 of your TV.
If you subscribe to StarSight, the A/V Network "Quick Play"
feature will not be available.
