['.1. Press MENU repeatedly to choose Audio Menu.
!I2. Press an Up!Down arrow repeatedly to select an option.
! 3. Press a Left/Right arrow repeatedly to adjust an option.
I 4. Press EXIT to remove a menu from view, or wait a few
:
seconds and the menu will disappear.

Adjusts the low frequency level.
Adjusts the high frequency
level.
Adjusts
the sound balance between the two speakers.
Selects Stereo, Mono (Monaural),
or SAP (2nd Audio) speaker
operation.

Stereo:
Mono:
Directs the sound to the Left and Right speakers as supplied by 3'our"TV, VCR, etc.
Directs the same sound to both Left and Right speakers, even if the program is in stereo.
Surround

at a constant

(including
commercials
and audio from the auxiliary
input
source).
SAP:
Directs the sound for the Second Audio Progrmn to both the Left: and Right speakers. SAP
(2nd Audio)
sound is always monaural. (SAP is not available if Video is your viewing source.)

If you select stereo as the Audio Mode, the TV switches between Stereo and Mono (Monaural) sound depending on the audio
o
si_,nal received.
KI If you select SAP as the Audio Mode, you'll hear SAP (usually a second language) on stations broadcasting two audio signals.
When the SAP broadcast ends, the TV switches between Stereo and Mono modes depending on the audio signal received. The
TV switches back to SAP (2nd Audio) when the SAP broadcast resumes.
Variable Audio Output .lacks
If you connected an audio amplifier to the VARIABLE AUDIO OUTPUT jacks on the back of the TV, be sure to place the Ex-
ternal/Internal Speaker .,;witch to EXT; to turn offthe TV's internal speakers. If you wish to hear ,;ound from the TV speakers,
leave the switch set at INT.
