may differ
slightly
than on previous
ranges
because
of a
new system
designed
to better
regulate
temperature
control
Most
ovens
have a burner
that cycles
on then off to maintain
an average
temperature
Gas ranges
with standing
pilot ignition
have a revolutionary
thermostat
that continually
adjusts
gas flow to hold a
constant
temperature
without
completely
shutting
off the burner
As seen in the figures
below,
the result
is an oven
temperature
that
remains
steady
throughout
the entire
cooking
period
