Connecting Serial ATA Cables

The Serial ATA II connector is used to connect a Serial ATA II device to the
motherboard. These connectors support the thin Serial ATA II cables for
primary storage devices. The current Serial ATA II interface allows up to
300MB/s data transfer rate.
The two (2) Red ports are SATA 6Gbps spec and support transfer speeds of
up to 600MB/s. SATA II drives are compatible but will not see the enhanced
SATA 6Gbps performance.
There are eight (8) internal Serial ATA connectors and two (2) E-SATA on
this motherboard. Connection points SATA0 - SATA5, are controlled by the
South Bridge Chipset. Connection points SATA8 - SATA9 are e-SATA and
are controlled by the JMicron JMB362 chip. SATA 6 – SATA 7 are SATA
