Preparing

For long vacations
or
absences,
reillove tood
and shut ott power to the refl'igerator at the
fl,se box or circuit breaker. Clean the interior
with a baking soda solution of one tablespoon
(15 ml) of baking soda to one quart (1 liter)
of water, i,eave the doors open.
For shorter vacations, remove perishable foods
and leave controls at regular settings. However,
if the room temperature is expected to drop
below 60°F (16°C), tollow the same
instructions as for long wlcations.
Set the icemaker power switch to the O (off)
position and shut off the water supply to
the refrigerator.

Light bulb
replacement

hnportmat: Turning the temperatttre control to
OFF does not remove power to the light circuit.
There are timr light bulbs in the top of the
fl'esh tood compartment.
To replace the bulbs:
1 Set the Master Light switch in tile OFF
position to turn off the lights. See U,_ing"the
Master L_q'hl switch.
2 Remove the light shield by placing yore"
fingers in the openings at the back of the
shield. Then, pull the shield toward wm
and swing the back of the shield down.
3 Replace with the same size bulb (40 watt max.).
4 Reinstall the shield and reset the Master
I,ight switch to the ON position.
Replacement 40-watt bulbs can be pro'chased at
yore" local general retail store, through GE
Parts and Accessories, 800.626.2002, or at
ge.com. Order part # 40A15.

To replace a bulb:

the two screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
3 Replace with the same size bulb (40 watt max.).
4 Reinstall the shield and reset the Master
I,ight switch to the ON position.
