Be familiarwithall the controlson the snowthrowerand theirproperoperation.Knowhowto stop the machineand disengagethem quickly.
Snowthrowercontrolsand featuresare describedbelowand illustrated
in the figureabove.
Drive Control
Locatedon the undersideof the upperhandle,the drivecontrolisused
to engage/disengage wheels.Squeezethe drivecontrolagainstthe
upper handleto engagethe wheels;releaseto disengage.
Auger Control
Theauger controlis on the front the upperhandle.Squeezethe auger
controlagainstthe upperhandleto engagethe auger;releaseto
disengagethe auger.
Never makeadjustments tothechute assembly unless bothauger and
drivecontrols aredisengaged a ndtheoperator i sstanding besidetheunit.
IMPORTANT:Referto AugerControlTestin the Assemblysectionof
this manualprior to operatingyoursnow thrower.Readand followall
instructionscarefullyand performall adjustments to verifyyoursnow
throweris operatingsafelyand properly.
Chute
Handle
The directionof snowthrowingcorrespondsto thedirectionof the
chute opening.Use thechute handleto turn thechute assemblyin the
directionyouwish to throw the snow.
Chute
Knob
The distancesnow is throwncan be adjustedby either raisingor
loweringthe upperchute.Loosenthe chute knobon the side of the
upper chuteto adjust.Pivotthe upper chuteto desiredposition,and
retightenthechute knob.
Shave
Plate
The shaveplatemaintainscontact with pavementas the snow
throweris propelled,allowingsnowclose to pavement'ssurfaceto be
discharged.
Skid Shoe
The spacebetweenthe shaveplateand thegroundcan be adjusted.
Forclose snowremoval,placeskid shoesin the highestposition.Use
middleor lowestpositionwhenarea to be clearedis unevenor on
gravelsurfaces.
