Tool
A chute clean-out tool is fastenedto the topof theauger housing
witha mountingclip. See Figure7.The tool is designedto cleara
chuteassemblyof iceand snow.This item is fastenedwith a cable tie
atthe factory.Cut thecable tie beforeoperatingthe snowthrower.

_eforeusingthe clean-outtool to clearthe chuteassembly.

Tire Pressure
Beforeoperating,checktire pressureand reducepressurein bothtires
tobetween 15psi and 20 psi.
NOTE:If the tire pressureis notequal in bothtires,the unit maynot
travelin a straightpathand the shaveplatemay wearunevenly.
ADJUSTMENTS
Skid Shoes
The snow throwerskid shoesare adjustedupwardat the factoryfor
shippingpurposes.Adjust themdownward,if desired,priorto operat-
ing the snowthrower.
It is notrecommended that youoperatethis snow throweron gravel
as it can easilypick up andthrow loosegravel,causingpersonal
injuryor damageto thesnow throwerand surroundingproperty.
Forclose snowremovalon a smoothsurface,raiseskid shoes
higheron the auger housing.
Usea middleor lowerpositionwhenthe area to be clearedis
uneven,such as a graveldriveway
NOTE:If you chooseto operatethe snowthroweron a gravelsurface,
keepthe skid shoes in positionfor maximum clearancebetweenthe
groundand theshave plate.
Toadjust the skid shoes:
1.
Loosenthe fourhex nuts (two on eachside) andcarriagebolts.
Moveskid shoesto desiredposition.See Figure8.
2.
Makecertainthe entirebottomsurfaceof skid shoe is againstthe
groundto avoidunevenwearon the skid shoes.
3.
Retightennuts and bolts securely.
