the dishwasher
racks.
For best dishwashing
results, follow these loading
guidelines.
Features
and appearance
of racks and silverware
baskets may vary from your model.
Upper Rack
Althoughthe upper rockisprimarilyfor glasses,
cupsand saucers, p otsand panscon be placed
in this rockfor effectivecleaning. C upsand glosses
fit bestalongthe sides. T hisis alsoo secureplace
for dishwasher-safe plastics.
Theupper rackisadjustable(onsomemodels)
to add flexibilityin loadingyourdishwasher.
Tolower,pushtabs in and lowerrack.Toraise,
just pull up on rack untilit snaps.
Theutilityshelf
(on
somemodels)maybe placed
in the up or down position to add flexibility. A wine
glassholder(onsome models)secures w ine
glasses for bestwashability. B ecause wine glasses
comein varioussizes, a fter loading,slowlypush
in the rackto makesuretheywill clearthe top
of the dishwasher.
Theupper rackisgood for all kindsof odd-shaped
utensils. S aucepans, mixingbowlsand other items
shouldbe placedface down.
Fold-down tines(onsome models) provide
flexibility for extra-large and hard-to-fit items.
Securelargerdishwasher-safe p lasticsover2 tines
whenpossible.
Make sure small plastic items are secure so they
can't fall onto the heater.
Besurethat itemsdo not protrudethroughthe
bottomof the rack and blockrotationof the
middlesprayarm.Thiscouldresultin poorwash
performancefor itemsin the upperrack.
Check to make sure
that no items willblock
rotation of the wash
arms.
Lower Rack
Thelowerrackis bestusedfor plates,saucersand
cookware. L argeitemssuchas broilerpansand
bakingracksshouldgo alongthe leGhandside.
Loadplatters,potsand bowlsalongthe sides,in
cornersor in the back.Thesoiledsideof items
shouldface the centerof the rack.if necessary,
oversized glassesand mugscan be placedin the
lowerrackto maximize loadingflexibility.
Also,be carefulnot to let a portionof an item such
asa pot or dishhandleextendthroughthe bottom
rack.Thiscouldblockthewash arm and cause
poorwashingresults.

tinesmay be left in the up positionor foldeddown
to customizethe lowerrack.
Do not let any item
extendthrough the
bottom of the silverware
basket. Itemsthat

To remove end baskets, grasp the
basket at opposite corners and slide
apart.

handleto eitherside(onsome models). Put
flatwarein the removablebasketwith fork and
knifehandlesup to protectyour hands.Place
spoonsin the basketwith handlesdown.Mix
knives, f orksand spoonssothey don'tnest
together.Distribute evenly.Smallplasticitems,
suchas measuringspoons and lidsfrom small
containersshouldgo in the bottomof the
silverwarebasketwith the silverware on top.

can be placedin the front, rightsideor backof the
