Receiver and Remote Control Programming

Your garage door opener receiver and remote
control have been pre-set at the factory to a
matching code. This code changes with each use,
randomly accessing over 100 billion new codes.
The door will open when you press the LARGE
remote control push button.
The 3-function remote control can also activate
additional SECURITY+ garage door openers and/or
light controls.
Your SECURITY+ opener wilt operate with:
• several SECURITY+ remote controls (with blue
push buttons) utilizing up to 8 functions.
• one SECURITY+ Keyless Entry System
(Model 139.53684).
The opener must learn the code of any new remote.
Follow the instructions below to program your
opener to match any additional remotes you may
)urchase. See Accessories on page 38.

Children operating or playing with a garage
door opener can injure themselves or others.
The garage door could close and cause serious
injury or death. Do not allow children to operate
the door push button(s) or remote control(s).
A moving garage door could injure or kill
someone under It. Activate the opener only
when you can see the door clearly, it is free of
obstructions, and Is properly adjusted.

To Add A Remote Control
If you have a Motion Detecting or Premium
Control Console:
1. With the door closed, press and hold a button on
the remote to be programmed. See Figure 1.
2. Press and hold the Light button on the door
control.
3. Press and hold the door control push button.
Light bulbs on the opener will flash once when it
has learned the code.
4. Release all buttons.
Test by pressing the remote push button.
ff you do not have a Motion Detecting or
Premium Control Console:
1. Press and hold a button on the remote to be
programmed. See Figure 1.
2. Press and release the SRT (Smart
Receiver/Transmitter) button on the opener
(Figure 2). Light bulbs on the opener will flash
once when it has learned the code.
3. Release the remote push button.
Test by pressing the remote push button.
To Erase All Remote Control Codes
Press and hold the SRT button on the opener for
6 seconds. The indicator light will turn on. Release
the SRT button when it turns off. All codes are now
erased from the opener. Then follow the steps
above to re-program each remote control.

To Control the Opener Light
(Motion Detecting or Premium Control Consoles)
With SECURITY+ remote controls, a push button can
be programmed to operate the opener light without
opening the door.
1. With the door closed, press and hold the remote
button that you want to control the bight.
2. Press and hold the Light button on the door
control.
3. Press and hold the Lock button on the door control.
4. After the opener light bulbs flash, release all
buttons.
