SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENT
HOW TO REPLACE THE MOWER DRIVE BELT
REMOVAL 3.
1. Move the lift lever to the lowest position._

2. Slide the mower drive belt between the stack pulley and the
belt guide_ Remove the mower drive belt from the stack pulley.

3. Pull the belt retainer away from the idler' pulley and remove
the mower drive belt (Figure 39)..
4_ Slide the mower drive belt between the mandrel pulley and 6.
the belt guides.
original NOTE: Replace the mower drive belt with an
equipment belt from an authorized service center.
INSTALLATION
1_ Pull the belt guides away from the mandrel pulley Slide the
belt between the belt guides and the mandrel pulley,
2. Make sure the _ side of the mower drive belt is against the
mandrel pulley (Figure 38)..
Pull the belt retainer away from the idler pulley,. Put the
mower drive belt around the idler' pulley_
Make sure the mower"drive belt is inside all the belt guides,
Also make sure the mower drive belt is not twisted,
Slide the mower drive belt between the stack pulley and the
belt guide. Install the mower drive belt around the the stack
pulley°
Before you mow, check the attachment clutch° See the instruc-
tions on "How To Adjust The Attachment Clutch'L
