While holding spring bushing with wrench, loosen jam
nut.
o
Turn adjustment bolt clockwise to extend spring and
reduce lift effort {for heavier attachments)
o
Turn adjustment
bolt counterclockwise
for lighter at-
iachments
o
Retighten jam nut against spring bushing
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT ADJUST FOR MAXIMUM SPRING
TENSION WHEN USING LIGHT ATTACHMENTS
SUCH

DO NIQTOVERPOWER SPRING.

Unsnap headlight wire connector.

Grasp hood at sides, tilt toward
engine and lift off of tractor

The ttlrottle contro! has been preset at the faclory and
adjuslment should not be necessary
Check adjustment as
described below before loosening cable. If adjustrnent is
necessary, proceed as follows:
o
With engine not running, move throttle control lever to
fast (_,_) position.
o
Check that speed control lever is against stop screw. If
it is not, loosen casing clamp screw and pull tilrottie
cable until lever is against screw Tighten clamp screw
securely
