Use when taking pictures of food.
• The camera focused on the subject at the center of the frame.
The area focused can be changed by the touch shutter
([_) 34) or touch AF/AE ([_) 37).
• Macro mode (_ 45) is enabled and the camera automatically
zooms to the closest position at which it can focus.
• The closest distance at which the camera can focus varies depending on the zoom
position. The camera can focus at the shortest distances when _[_ and the zoom indicator
glow green with the zoom indicator positioned to the ]eft (wider angle) of f_,. At the zoom
position one step to the right (telephoto) of the maximu m wide-angle zoom position, the
camera can focus on subjects as close as 8 cm (3.2 in.) to the lens. At the maximum wide-
angle zoom position and _ zoom position, the camera can focus at a distance of 20 cm
(8 in.).
• Hue carl be adjusted with the slider displayed at bottom in
the monitor. Drag the slider to right to make the image more
reddish, or ]eft to make it more bluish. The selected hue
adjustment setting is stored in the camera's memory even
after the camera is turned off, and reappJied the next time
food scene mode is selected.
• The camera focuses continuously until focus is locked by
pressing the shutter-release button halfway.
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the camera steadily.

Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for
example, in museums and art galleries) or in other settings in
which you do not want to use the flash.
• Camera focuses on subject at the center of the frame. The
area focused can be changed by the touch shutter ([_]] 34)
or touch AF/AE ([_) 37).
• BSS (best shot selector) can be enabled ([_ 53).
• As pictures are easily affected by camera shake, hold the camera steadily.
• AF-assist illuminator ([_] 147) does not light.
