Shooting in the Scene Mode Selected by the Camera
(Scene Auto Selector)
By simply frarrfing a picture, tile camera automatically selects tile optimum scene
mode for simpler shooting. When a picture is framed in _ (Scene auto selector)
scene mode, the camera automatically selects one of the following scene modes:
• Auto(generalshooting) • Portrait (_ 62) • Landscape(_ 62)
• Night portrait (_ 63) • Night landscape (_ 65) • Close-up (_ 65)
• Backlight (_ 67)

Press the a button in shooting
mode to display the shooting-mode
selection menu and choose
(Scene auto selector) scene mode
(C_ 59).
The camera enters scene auto selector scene
mode.
2 Frame the subject and take a picture.
When the cameraautomatically selectsa scenemode,
the shooting mode icon changesto that for the scene
mode currently enabled.

Press the shutter-releasebutton halfwayto setfocus and exposure.When the subject is
in focus,the active focus area glows green.
Press the shutter-releasebutton the rest of the way down to take the picture.
