Using the Self-timer
Tile camera
is equipped
with
a self-timer
that releases tile shutter
ten or two
seconds
after you press tile
shutter-release
Button.
Tile self-timer
is useful when
you want
to be in tile
picture
you are taking,
and when
you want
to avoid tile
effects
of camera
shake that occur
when
you press tile shutter-release
Button.
When
using tile
self-timer,
use of a tripod
is recommended.
Set Vibration
reduction
to Off in tile setup
menu

to stabilize

camera
during
shooting.

• 10s (ten seconds): Use on important occasions, such as
weddings.
• 2s (two seconds): Use to prevent camera shake.

is selected, the camera uses face detection to
detect a human face, and then automatically
releases
the shutter when a smile is detected ([_

• When the shooting mode is set to Pet portrait scene mode, I_i (pet portrait auto
release) is displayed; when set to continuous shooting
mode, _ (smile timer
continuous) is displayed ([_ 43, 61). The self-timer settings lOs and 2s cannot be
used.
• The mode selected for self-timer is displayed.
• Ifa setting is not applied by pressing the_)
button within a few seconds, the
selection will be canceled.
